Where the Major Arcana marks the big turning points and life lessons, the Minor Arcana fills in the texture of daily life. These are the cards that show up when a reading is about what is happening right now: a decision at work, a shift in a relationship, a creative block, a financial question.
The 56 cards are divided across four suits, each connected to an element and a broad area of experience. Cups (Water) deal with emotions and relationships. Pentacles (Earth) cover the material and practical. Wands (Fire) speak to action, ambition, and creativity. Swords (Air) address thought, communication, and conflict.
How the suits are structured
Each suit follows the same pattern: numbered cards from Ace through Ten, then four Court Cards (Page, Knight, Queen, King). The numbered cards trace a progression through the suit’s theme.
